Models
Which model drafted which passage, and the rule that stays in force while a book is open.
The closed-book rule
While a passage is drafted, English Bibles, commentaries, and study notes stay closed. Ancient-language lexicons and grammars may be used. Greek, Syriac, and Latin witness the source wording. They do not supply the English. If a line echoes a published English Bible, it is rewritten.
A passage is not marked reviewed until a person other than the drafting model has read it against the witnesses. Nothing on this site has that review yet.
Published passages
- Genesis
Grok 4.7 · drafted 8 October 2026 · First draft. Not independently reviewed.
Leningrad Codex, through the Open Scriptures Westminster Leningrad Codex. The written consonants are printed. A Masoretic reading is footnoted when it differs. No Dead Sea reading was substituted unless it was read from a fragment. The Samaritan Pentateuch and the Greek, Syriac, and Latin versions are witnesses, not the default.
- Ruth
Grok 4.7 · drafted 8 October 2026 · First draft. Not independently reviewed.
Hebrew. The continuous copy is the Leningrad Codex, through the Open Scriptures diplomatic text. Dead Sea fragments of Ruth were not used to replace any line, because they do not supply a continuous earlier text for this draft.
- Tobit
Grok 4.7 · drafted 8 October 2026 · First draft. Not independently reviewed.
Aramaic and Hebrew where a Qumran copy can be read (4Q196–4Q200), and otherwise the longer Greek of Codex Sinaiticus. The shorter Greek in Swete is not the base. Gaps in Sinaiticus are not filled from a later edition.
Further books wait until they are named. An untranslated book has no model entry, because no English has been drafted for it.
