Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him.

Leningrad writes “her tent.” The Masoretic reading is “his tent.” The written consonants are printed.
to the place of the altar that he had made there at the first. There Abram called on the name of Yahweh.
Lot also, who went with Abram, had sheep, cattle, and tents.
The land could not support them living together, because their goods were many, and they could not live together.
There was a quarrel between the herders of Abram’s livestock and the herders of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanite and the Perizzite were then living in the land.
Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no quarrel between me and you, or between my herders and your herders, for we are brothers.
Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you go left, I will go right. If you go right, I will go left.”
Lot lifted his eyes and saw the whole plain of the Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, before Yahweh ruined Sodom and Gomorrah, like the garden of Yahweh, like the land of Egypt, as you come to Zoar.
Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan, and Lot traveled east. They separated, each from his brother.
Abram lived in the land of Canaan, and Lot lived among the cities of the plain and moved his tents as far as Sodom.
The men of Sodom were evil, and sinners against Yahweh, greatly.
Yahweh said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, “Lift your eyes and look from the place where you are, north, south, east, and west,
for all the land that you see, I will give it to you and to your offspring forever.
I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, your offspring also can be counted.
Get up, walk through the land, its length and its width, for I will give it to you.”
Abram moved his tents and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre, which are at Hebron, and he built an altar there to Yahweh.
