Chapter 6 said two of each living thing. This verse says seven by seven of the clean animals. Both sentences are in the same Hebrew copy. Neither is deleted to make them match.
also of the birds of the sky seven by seven, male and female, to keep offspring alive on the face of all the earth.
For in seven more days I will make it rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe out every standing thing that I made from the face of the ground.”
Noah did according to everything Yahweh commanded him.
Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.
Noah, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, came into the ark because of the waters of the flood.
Of the clean animals, and of the animals that are not clean, and of the birds, and of everything that crawls on the ground,
two by two they came to Noah into the ark, male and female, as God had commanded Noah.
After the seven days, the waters of the flood came on the earth.
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the springs of the great deep burst open, and the windows of the sky were opened.
The rain came on the earth forty days and forty nights.
On that very day Noah, and Shem, Ham, and Japheth, Noah’s sons, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, came into the ark,
they and every wild animal by its kind, every livestock by its kind, every crawling thing that crawls on the earth by its kind, and every bird by its kind, every bird, every winged thing.
They came to Noah into the ark, two by two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life.
Those that came, male and female of all flesh, came as God had commanded him. And Yahweh shut him in.
The flood was on the earth forty days. The waters grew and lifted the ark, and it rose above the earth.
The waters grew powerful and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark went on the face of the waters.
The waters grew very, very powerful on the earth, and all the high mountains under the whole sky were covered.
Fifteen cubits higher the waters grew powerful, and the mountains were covered.
All flesh that moved on the earth died: birds, livestock, wild animals, every swarming thing that swarms on the earth, and every human.
Everything that had the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils, everything on the dry ground, died.
He wiped out every standing thing on the face of the ground, from human to livestock to crawling thing to the birds of the sky. They were wiped out from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.
The waters grew powerful on the earth one hundred and fifty days.
